About Aubrey

Hailed as “the Steve Jobs of classical music” (Observer) and “the Sheryl Sandberg of the symphony” (LA Review of Books), Aubrey Bergauer is on a mission to change the narrative for the arts world. With her laser focus on results, audience-first thinking, and love for data, she’s out to rewrite the script for performing arts organizations. As a powerhouse leader behind the scenes, Aubrey has managed millions in revenue for top institutions like the Seattle Symphony, Seattle Opera, and Bumbershoot Music & Arts Festival. As CEO of the California Symphony, she didn’t just move the needle—she doubled the audience and nearly quadrupled the donor base. Aubrey’s secret sauce? A sharp strategy that blends boosting revenue, driving digital innovation, and putting diversity front and center. She’s helped hundreds of people and organizations do the same, proving time and again that bold leadership is the key to changing the narrative.
